Risk

posted by ryan

Risk is something that not many will want to take. But without it, success cannot be attained.

Just like the picture above, while a sniper trainee is learning the ropes to being a sniper.

In a actual operation, a sniper himself/herself is at risk of being discovered by enemies if enemy noticed the scope’s reflective lens from long distances.

While the long range shooting increases the possibility of safety from enemies, but it also put the sniper at risk of not being able to leave safety as the weapon is bulky, maximal ammunition load of only 10 rounds. So part of the training is not to be discovered while preparing to eliminate enemy.

This is a situation of killing or be killed, which also happens everyday in business and in everyday life.

In business, it’s all about calculated risk, and greatly minimizing the risk of failure, making strategic moves to increase market share and financial muscle to growing the business.

In everyday life and at work, we are putting ourselves at risk too, but majority choose to ignore the real risk that each and everyone is facing. The risk of retrenchment, which happens without any notification, no guarantee whatsoever.

While employment may seems like a smart choice, to me personally, it’s more like walking on a thin thread of line in the air.

Just one step of wrong move, and employees will face risk of getting fired, with no other sources of recurring or passive income, leaving many retrenched individuals jobless, bleak future, family arguments, and many other factors.

But while the odds are against us, majority of the masses still choose to be ordinary. By going with employment and staying in the rats race.

With entrepreneurship, while the risk of financial burden may seem huge, but once everything has settle, the risk is kept low, and nobody can fire you unless you decide to quit/sell the business to somebody else.

The best part about risk is that those intelligent risk takers all attained success in live, financially, spiritually and multiple aspects. It is only by giving up some elements of security, than only do we have more rooms for take in other benefits that comes with such risk.

A common example of risk taker is a stock trader, making calculated moves with proper analysis based on market reactions, business information, economy directions, growth trends etc. Likewise, property developers, investors all share the same thinking.

Embracing risk is the sure way to succeed, but do so with caution, lots of practice, training, and most importantly, get a coach, who can share his/her experience with you to eliminate if not greatly minimize the obstacles that you will face in your quest to success.

Take control of our own life, start your own business, but only if you know what you are doing, if you don’t, you’ll be killed. So stick with what you are at best and gradually widen your skills and expertize.

Survival

posted by ryan

Survival is the best bet against anything in the world.

Having watched documentary of the week: Surviving Disaster – Avalanche, it gave me new insights and reminder to on survival and the basic guidelines and principles to live. Linking it up with what I myself experienced on my progress in Entrepreneurship, it gave me a actual blueprint on surviving the hardships of entrepreneurship.

I’ll just summarized what i’ve just learned and convert it to make it business-proof.

In an ski trip with an injured ski-mate with a open bone fracture, and with a handful of team mates, with night approaching, the best bet is to set up a snow cave to spend the night waiting for day light before attempting to find help.

Check for any injuries, in this case, it’s a open bone fracture, cover the open wound with clean cloth to prevent infection, without pressing on the bone, put it on top of it, break the ski stick in the correct length and tie the leg tight against the sticks to prevent anymore movement. Lay person on a ski board, move injured head downwards with leg on top. So in event of hitting an object, wound will not incur any additional damage, with head protected by helmet. With sun setting, it’s time to build a snow cave for the night.

Snow Cave

The snow cave allows all ski members a safety cover from the elements, shelter from the wind (which speed up heat lost), allows members to stay together to have the warm air in the cave stay there while the cold air drops to the entrance.

Once the cave is built, immediately move the injured team mate inside, as motionless individual stand greater chance of hypothermia. Lay the injured person on the, while other ski members take turns to take care of each other. Giving the injured as much food as possible to encourage more heat generated, but don’t let injured drink alcohol which speeds up hypothermia. One person in-charge of the injured, another in-charge of keeping the entrance partial open for air to come in, the other one to check for every team member’s health status (preventing death sleep in the cold), and rotate duties every hour.

Next day comes, day-break, leave behind the slowest team mate to take care of the injured in the snow cave while the rest seek help.Member staying behind uses urine and ski board to mark a clear X (cross) sign on the top of the mountain while the rest find help (instead of all waiting to die).

In the process, downwards, they faced an avalanche, 2 team mates trapped in it. Using avalanche survival kit to track (20 yards effective radius) members trapped under the snow and dig them out of it before they die of suffocation and hypothermia. Moving in a zig-zag direction to cover the whole distance of the avalanche path.

Upon finding trapped member, dig up, and wait for help, use binoculars to reflect light to the helicopter, and create a landing zone (L.Z) preferrably on a flat surface. Wait for the search and rescue dogs to search for team mate who’s survival kit was not placed with him, and instead a bag further putting oneself in danger.

Than inform the rescue team about the injured at the top of the mountain.

Now for the entrepreneur conversion. The food is the important fuel that allows members to live, in business wise, minimal food to fill our stomach.

Put aside emotions, which is vital for wealth creation, follow and obey leaders who can grow money, not reduce it.

Follow all basic ethics and the laws to observe discipline, so you will not have your efforts gone down the drain one day when you’re caught for any crime.

The snow cave refers to a shelter over our head as a protection.

Team members: Select only a handful who will not put you at more risk. Example: spilling your business secrets/strategies, waste your resources, burn bridges of trust, creditability and reputation critical for success.

Search and rescue team refers to new sources of income when your financial reserves are depleting fast. Seeking help is not a sign of failure, it is to live to die another day.

Proper medical, survival knowledge with experienced leader: Vital in a process, to tell exactly what’s happening, what will happen and how to minimize risk of failure and look out for safety.

PS: In ski, dangers are bears, elements of cold, but in business, it’s the eagles and vultures, seasoned players who gradually/openly steal your strategies, food, business partners, networks and turn them against you!

So weigh your own skills set, financial reserves, networks, expertise, knowledge and flexibility to adapt to new changes, such as temporary going back to employment to first solve the fundamental money issue before you resume your entrepreneurship.

Last but not the least, be damn aware of your own surroundings, keep your strategies and wealth generation sources to yourself. In the absence of team mates, depend on yourself and your own resources.

Never ever give in to opposition of your family and love ones (that’s logical) knowing they will want to be in the rats race suffering together for a short-term most risky employment without any job security.

Change II

posted by ryan

Change is the transformation of a something to another thing. What works in the past may not necessary work in the present.  It is the substitution and replacement as time pass.

Getting updated and following the trends and fads especially when doing business. Businesses are constantly evolving in order to stay ahead and above the competition to remain as the market leader for the more competitive industries.

Businesses that don’t come up with new products will be left behind in the dust before they even know it. Growing up, be it individual from being physically to as an entity of a company, all are constantly changing to meet the demand required of it.

Business owners especially in the fashion are exceptionally updated and must follow the trends else risked being outdated in less than a year as fashion trends become fads shedding its old appeal and living in a new skin like a snake crawling out of its old skin.

People also change every second as we grow; our body goes through the physical and mental changes in different situations we must adapt and blend into what is required of us in the environment to survive in the terrain.

Over the last few weeks of absence from blogging, there are quite a few lessons which I’ve learnt, the most important is change, don’t be resistant to change, and else there will be no new fresh ideas. Change rules and principles if there is a need, being inflexible will increase the frustration and unhappiness thus killing our brain cells and that kills our creativity needed for survival which leads to risking being outdated leading to poverty in worst case scenario.

In the past, I blog from home without work now I blog from office at work. I can say that I’m lucky to be hired and still able to continue doing what I like, internet marketing and more importantly getting paid to do what I like.

Success is guaranteed as long as you don’t give up, sure enough, it’s the truth and I tested it out on myself.

During the past few months, I was work from home, without income, entrepreneurship seems like an uphill task, but after sticking to what I believe in, accepting no other employment except internet marketing, I’ve found this current employment which allows me to use other people’s money and resources to continue whatever I’m doing. In fact, I’m learning new things with regards to internet marketing and learning the differences of internet marketers.

The crucial lesson which I’ve learnt over these past few months about entrepreneurship is that in order to succeed, there must be a continuous stream/source of financial means to support the starting up process so as to create a model which works for respective individuals, and that requires time, effort, creativity and money.

Ignore money, and nothing will be possible. But don’t look at money as extremely important; it is just part of the formula required for success. Have the right principles on money before you think about getting rich. Else should you start on the wrong footing, when you get rich than start learning about money management, it will be too late.

Should you be receiving high income, you will also have difficulty managing your finances, and with not much savings as reported by Straits Time recently as shown in  http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_529522.html That is another topic which I’ll write another day.

Change

posted by ryan

Change is the transformation from something to another thing. It is to become different, pass gradually into something else.

Since the time men started roam the earth, we underwent lots of changes to who we are today. With different nationalities language, tribes and religions we all still come from the same roots and origins, from the monkey family.

Fast forward to present, and staying local in Singapore, this nation has underwent so much changes that the kampong days are long gone, even the friendly neighbourhood atmosphere is already gone, no longer do neighbours know one another among the community. When I was young around 1980s to 1990s, the community bonding and unity was slowly fading away as I grow up while Singapore keeps changing and improving.

Lives 1990s was definitely way much better than 1950s that period, but looking at the present bonding of Singaporeans among different races, Singapore in fact has gone worse. Back than, even my grandma knows Malay and now those local Singaporean Chinese who knows Malay language is the minority with Malaysian Chinese taking away our advantage in language proficiency.

In the past, everybody knows a bit of other language here and there, even Indians know Chinese, but that’s is the super minority.

These days, with the housing development planning, the layout of the houses are pleasant taking into considerations for limited land, but gone are our privacy, with doors shut, the friendly neighbours atmosphere is long gone.

People who used to be able to work until fifty years old and retire for a blissful family, is already gone without a trace, the possibility of it is gone permanently. No longer can we grow up looking forward to retirement, in fact we will work till the date we die, that’s how the way we are growing, and this problem is not subjected to only Singapore but all over the world. Any capitalist country will face this issue.

Just that Singapore with limited resources is showing the negative effects of capitalism society faster than our neighbouring countries because they still have land, religion and culture to fall back on thus they will not face this problem so fast but gradually, they are feeling it.

Taiwan is also losing its tribe practice and people are going to cities for a living, like wise for India and other countries. But somehow thanks to its strong unity and government space for religion practice, they are still going strong with their Chinese culture and proud of it, unlike Singapore, even for our own four different religions, we also have the public holidays reduced, no longer greatly celebrating it but it has downsized so much that it becomes more like a yearly commercial event rather than festive celebrations doing only a yearly routine with no heart put into it. It’s a festival without the soul, bonding and unity in it. How I envy countries with such rich festival celebrations.

Singapore although has lost the festival bonding among people, but it has gain something else in return to compensate for its culture losses which is financial industry and is often said that Singapore is the window to China, nonetheless that comes with a great price of sacrifice.

Hard work, always increasing work load, only more and no less, work load increase is way much faster than the speed whereby our pay increases, thus we are getting poorer and poorer. Just look at the working age and ask yourself if you can even retire and enjoy a blissful family, never ever if you follow the majority. It’s just the facts.

Should we want to reverse the effects, we should pick up entrepreneurship, in particular allowing ourselves more time to spend with family, encouraging a family and work-life balance, so as to have more births per family, thus tax will not increase. Financial insiders or those who at least study bits of history will know why birth rates has links to tax.

What we deserve, we got to earn it, and to do it, we have to find our way. Singapore is growing and improving, but not the people, majority of the people are still staying in a poor mindset thus making Singapore government job of running the country increasing harder having to cope with the silver tsunami many years ahead which is slowly revealing the tip of the ice berg already. We are just another country one step slower than Japan only.

We earn what we keep, and we got to defend our homeland from foreigners, lower our demands for foreign talents, in order to do that, we have to increase our own competitive advantage so as to reduce our reliance on them.

The easiest way to do so is to do our own business, and offer employments to fellow Singaporeans by helping Singaporeans earn their own keep. Entrepreneurship is the only way to go about, don’t look at it as purely business, you can go into entertainment, science, invention, financial related or even sales and service, it is not restricted to only business. Explore different ideas and stomp the front. Be a leader, take charge of your own life.

BE in control and stay in control.

Imagination

posted by ryan

Imagination is the ability of forming mental images, sensations and concepts in a moment when they are not perceived through sight, hearing or other senses.

It is the products of imagining, a conception, and mental creation, often a baseless or fanciful one. It can work together with ideas and the key to imagination is to think without any restrictions or barrier such as worries about the ability to carry out the plan via financial means and network or influence etc.

It is to think and reach for the impossible that challenge the mind to eventually come up with something with time that is more practical via team discussion and brain-storming meetings.

It is psychology, the power of reproducing images stored in the mind under suggestion of associated images or recombining former experience in a new creation of new image directed at a specific goal of solving a problem with a solution.

Start dreaming, and talk about it, who knows one day you might have come up with your own vision which can help you become the next bill gates, imagination is the start and catalyst of a vision that can help you make a fortune from it.

Big

posted by ryan

In life, everything we do, we want a bigger share of the slice, be it business, relationship, food, home or assets, we never fail to desire and seek for bigger and better items to indulge ourselves in especially luxury and pleasure and holidays traveling.

Big is important, the bigger items and assets you possess, the bigger you influence will have on other businesses. Being successful with results will attract more talents below you, wanting to learn the steps from you.

With more influential power, the ability to influence and the words creating stir among people, when this phenomenon happens, you will soon be on your way to be a outstanding person commanding respect, fellowship of seekers wanting to be kept under your wings.

Big are not rocket science, but a gradual genetic thirst and intense urge of desire to increase our share in whatever we do. This happens even in the cat family, tigers, lions, leopard and jugular and among the reptiles. The bigger they grow, the larger stomach they have, the increase of volume in food or prey they target.

Growing bigger is a natural progression, if you don’t seek to improve your standards of living and lifestyle, denying yourself, your body and your genes of the natural instincts to grow and get stronger, you of course will get weaker as each day pass, and be consumed by other larger animals.

Big is beautiful. It happens in both genders.

Females seek beauty in terms of both physically, and deeper wallet size to allow them to spend happily swiping the credit cards on a shopping spree thus ladies will naturally without fail look up to a man who can provide financially for the ladies. Even if there’s no love, the lady will still stick to the man who’s the provider. This again is inside the genes, since apes gradually evolve into barbarians than to modern man today.

Males without say look for materialistic gains but by being practical and doing it within their ability in terms of assets, wealth, influential power, commanding respect from people, get acknowledgment from even their competitors.  Respect comes not from being able to earn money, but is built when they are entrusted with secrets that ties to reputation and they will not try to oust out a fellow competitor via underhand tricks such as accusations, piracy etc.

Look at Tiger Woods incident, the sex addiction scandal was not at all surprise among the golf professionals in the inner circle of the golf association, in fact other golf professionals even helped Tiger to cover up for his personal life matters. Personal and business issues will never ever be mixed together, that’s one rule of alpha males, an unspoken rule binding all successful professionals together.

There were news articles reports which mention about this, and also on reports that the ladies regretted not listen to the advice to remain silence in return for money benefits and choose to reveal it to the media. Why the regrets, read newspapers to find out more, I know it, because I’ve read that book which told me all about the unspoken rules of alpha males which was meant for ladies, but I borrowed it to read and gain unlimited wisdom and in-depth understanding.

The reason why businessmen never fails to be a sore topic among ladies claiming for equality is already written all over different books, but they just don’t spread out, thus when men see such things, they are often ignored. The unspoken language of the successful wealthy businessmen, to be like them, if ladies can’t beat them, why not join them but first thing first, there are lots of steps to take to be able to join the bandwagon.

The core reason why people always say businessmen and not businesswomen is solely because it’s a fact that alpha males rule the world, not the government, the holder of wealth calls the shot. To win the game, you first have to learn the rules of the game. Not learning yet playing will only result in unfavorable results working against you.

Alpha male value honor and integrity while beta males, alpha females and females will just take it with a pinch of salt and do steps that sabotage and ruin their own future without anybody doing anything.

Learn the rules of the game, if you don’t be prepared to be left behind and you will not even notice who speed up the process even if the compliance and person who wants to get rid of you are standing in front of you.

To survive, learn the rules and stick to it or you will be axed in an instant without knowing who and why.

Loss

posted by ryan

Loss is the failure to make good use of something, the failure to preserve and maintain. It is the failure to keep, get or have something; to bear the loss of robbery for failure to safe keep your money and valuables.

Every business, individual will suffer losses regardless of how big or small the loss is, but with each loss, there is always a lesson to be learned from experience so as not to allow the same mistake to happen ever again.

Lives are lost when natural disasters strikes, causing homes, farmlands, to be damaged, and people suffer both financial and physical lost of homes and wealth plus food.

Foolish lives are lost when people without proper thinking commit suicide thinking that their problems cannot be solved which is untrue. Every problem originates from the cause, the root, plug and root of the problem and it will be solved. People commit suicide when they feel the problem is beyond their control, coward acts and signs of being selfish passing on problems to family members and love ones.

Businesses suffer losses when financial crisis strikes, a chain of events beyond their control happens and everyone suffers. The only crisis prove method is to be self-sufficient, grow your own food, have your own property on your own land and depend on solar energy which is possible but it requires lots of wealth to make it possible.

If you are always incurring losses regardless of what you do, be it in relationships, getting duped, in businesses being tricked into signing agreements to give up certain rights or ownership or money, it’s time to re-look at the process, and reflect on why such losses always and never fail to crawl back up on you sticking to you like a leech sucking your health, wealth and life away from you.

If you’re clueless, get this into your head, the mind. You are the cause and effect of it, if you want to stop the same repeating experiencing similar unpleasant events, than start from inside outwards.

Stop using, talking, communicating the way you used to, ask people for advice, get a proper coach, relearn how to handle work, human relationships, handling rejections, how to view at problems, how to deal and cope with difficult problems.

There are a lot of things to learn, if you don’t and is unwilling to accept the fact that you suck at handling yourself, selling yourself, than you deserve to be duped and being abused because you show and tell others with your behaviors announcing to the people and environment around you that you’re weak in any other ways. The strong will always walk over the weak, which is why bullies are all around.

Learn to change, accept your problems, and deal with them, if you don’t, whatever happens to you before, will happen to you again if you don’t want to change. This applies to all areas, regardless of relationship, business ventures, health, mental well-being, EQ, IQ and communication.

Do you always want to be a position destined to be a loser losing everything and everyday no matter how hard you try? If that’s the way you show to others, you reap what you sowed.

Example like supermarkets, they always say trolleys go missing every month, damaged etc, that’s because they didn’t make any effort in preventing those events from happening. If you put a stop to customers wanting to leave with a  trolley full of products, it is going to help business save thousands of dollars with just hiring a few full timers to stop and prevent customers from buying more than what they can carry themselves.

By allowing customers to make their problem the business problem, than the business owner who knows the problem but doesn’t do anything to stop it deserves to suffer a loss and the loss just increases, when people recognize that the company can’t be bothered with small minor issue.

No matter what you do, do the best within your abilities to reduce your chances of incurring loss and come up with solutions to increase your profit while reduce the loss to double, triple your profits.

Stay positive regardless of whatever situation and positive results will find you soon enough.

Who do you want to be? A loser or a WINNER?

Help

posted by ryan

Help is the act of either giving or provide what is necessary to accomplish a task or a need, to render assistance to people who need it.

It also make life less difficult and reliving them off their illness, pain and sufferings.

Help is everywhere and anywhere. Are you the person who likes to help and advise people or are you one who only likes to receive help and assistance from others and never give back any?

Help is a two way thing. The more people you help, the more people will help you succeed. The more reluctance you show in refusing to help others, the same others will show to you.

Look at businessmen. They are setting up businesses, helping many people in different areas. By employing employees, they are helping the majority of the people to get paid if they are willing to work hard for the company, and in return they get money to bring bread and butter back home to the family.

By doing business, providing service and solutions to help solve business partners’ problems, they are helping others again, and in return they get money (profits) back in return.

By lending a hand in charity with money, they help people in extreme poverty get fed with food and basic supplies, they didn’t expect anything in return, but than others see it, than again they are helping themselves.

The return favor of helping comes back to the business in the form of recognition, branding and position which is goodwill, building a reputable brand for the country, individual or business, the more low-profile you are, the more happiness you will get and more rewards will come back to you.

Not everything comes back from helping in the form of money, but the values and reward to helpful people and businesses will end up with much more than what they offered.

When individuals and business do charity, they can reduce their tax for that year too from the government and more support from the leaders governing the countries with more benefits in future. There’s nothing to lose in helping but a lot more to gain.

Exercise caution when you offer and extend a helping hand. Never ever help any individual that refuse to accept your help and stretching out their hand. If they reject you, so be it, there are others who will gladly accept and appreciate your help.

Practice selectively helping, else you will be abused too. Example: You don’t go around helping people in the brink of bankruptcy when they didn’t learn their mistakes or lessons. The more you offer help, the more you’re digging your own grave to perish together with the people facing bankruptcy at the expense of your financial help.

You will not help people who don’ t share the same vision, goals as you (only applicable to businesses only). If you’re into philanthropy, than just do it as long as it is within your means and financial ability allows. Spending and spreading wealth wisely to those deserving of a chance to succeed and grow.

Do not help people who will turn their backs on you, a real life betrayal of unconditional help will be USA. They who believe in their religion believe in helping anyone and everyone, and the help they offered get abused in this case example.

USA trained Osama Bin Laden, who in turn became a real ring leader in terrorist who betrayed USA’s kind intentions, war breaking out among Iran, Iraq, and neighbouring countries suffer in some ways.

So select carefully and help, don’t help people who act like they need help but with hidden agenda that go against your vision, principles and directions which again leads me to entrepreneurship.

Choosing the right business partners, help people who accept your help and not people who only want to make use of your help, be selective and test their intentions if needed.  Choose the right business partner and your life plus wealth will be made much easier, choose and make the wrong choice or decision, and you have hell of a time like USA still trying to capture Osama Bin Laden who may still be hiding inside the mountains underground and in the caves etc.

Cooking

posted by ryan

Cooking is the preparing of food for consumption.  It is a mastery of skills, handling, experience of using the fire, water, ingredients, mix and matching of different food to come up with a excellent display of dish with nice presentation for both visual, and mouth-watering tasting sensation.

Cooking requires positive discipline, organizing, tidiness, cleanliness, budgeting, creativity and sensitive sense of smell, taste-buds, hearing and sight. It’s not simple to master it, but when you master it, the same skills which were used to help you cook up a nice table full of dishes will help you greatly in the process of becoming wealthy if you correctly apply it and convert it into financial and business disciplinary education.

How a person cooks directly reveals his/her attitude and working style. It’s similar to wealthy businessmen playing golf to determine their business partners and the deal etc. Cooking is just a part of the consideration factor. Still, if you want to get wealthy, learn to play golf, they have their reasons for playing golf.

Cooking and the cleaning up part will reveal a person’s attitude and thinking to clearing up a mess of his/her own. The preparation of the dishes will reveal how hardworking and meticulous a person is in details which translates to business customer service. The presentation of the dish, layout etc will reveal to you how a person present and sell him/herself to others. How they eat the food will reveal how much table manners, respect they have to their elders, parents and friends.

Mastering cooking will not help you to go from rags to riches, but not wealthy. It will help you improve yourself, have more discipline etc. To be wealthy, you need to learn a lot of other related education to succeed; it’s more about the mindset which determines your success, so work on it.

You can get rich from cooking, but when you’re rich, you can’t stop cooking else your money will stop which is the difference between getting rich and getting wealthy. Wealth is accumulated even when you do nothing; it’s just a result of what seeds and hard-work you put in previously that allows you to reap the fruits of your hard labour in the past which not many people will know of.

Cooking encourage communication, discussion among family members. Advice and experiences are shared on the table during dinning or at a tea-break session with a common interest in food, the universal language regardless of boundaries, thus it is the easiest method to break the ice, increase the family bonding etc.

If you want to instill discipline into a spoilt brat, throw him/her into the kitchen and just make sure they don’t burn the kitchen in flames will do. Stand by their side, offer advice, not nag, and let them do what they like experiment it, taste the difference, than advice are much appreciated, rather than immediately saying No to this, that whatever is wrong, than they get the expected answer without first tasting the bitter, burnt food dishes which they should taste.

Cooking is a great way to teach children as they grow up and be independent to cook for themselves and family members if all are staying together sharing the fun process, enjoyment and happiness of cooking.

Savings

posted by ryan

Savings are the conservation of money, to save and conserve for a clause, example for a rainy rain.

Saving is a good habit but not necessarily a positive habit. Starting as young as kids, parents were taught to pass and impart the knowledge and importance of savings to their kids but not investment. Thus everyone across the globe knows the importance of savings but not investment.

The poor will impart the good habit of savings for a rainy day idea to their kids and they will save every single penny in their whole life without any changes to the knowledge that was imparted to the kids.

The wealthy will impart investment habit to their kids in different learning examples, coming up with games, learning lessons to increase their knowledge of doubling their start up capital to generate more income.

If there’s no external new knowledge being passed to the kids who are growing up in a savings mindset family, the future of the kids’ family will suffer, more unhappiness will follow, something which I realized long ago but it only stuck and was imprinted in my mind only today thus this blog entry.

As a kid, it’s good to save, so when they grow up, they have a starting pool of piggy bank to for investment into a business, but parents often just stop their financial education to their kids once they see that their kids are doing well, stopping halfway, without telling them the core idea and importance of savings.

Savings from young is to start accumulating a bucket of gold, than when the time is ripe, with sufficient funds, than their first bucket of gold should be used for investment purpose and must learn the steps to investment.

Parents failed to impart the knowledge of investment to their child solely because they neither lack the knowledge nor know-how to go about investment, thus in the adulthood stage, when poor mindset people start working, the problem of having a mindset savings snowballs into a bigger problem, creating lots of unhappiness and life living in misery.

Young kids can save, as they have not much items or gadgets which they need to buy, if proper discipline is being used and proper knowledge of financial management has being passed down to their kids.

Saving money as a teenager than starts to become a problem, with lots of temptations, peer pressure, and the fear of being bullied, left out/behind in a fashion savvy or technology updated group of peers. Teenagers will than experience more difficultly in saving any money.

Adulthood and beyond are the worse section and experience which a person will experience if he/she were to continue saving money and not learning the how-to to invest. Having seen different parents, family members, relatives (even those who are living a landed property) are saving as much as possible, making them look more like a cheapskate and not a thrifty person.

Cheapskate is one who will collect, take back small little free items from restaurants, hotels, air-planes when they either dine out if not are on a holiday vacation. Not willing to part with small money will not lead to big money which is needed in investment. The worse and unhealthy example of being a cheapskate is to wash those microwavable Tupperware after use to repeat use them. I’m concern about using them over again since it’s plastic and it chemicals will more or less leave some scent and taste with the food, plus health reasons.

Adults who are near if not already classified in the seniors age above fifty years old have even worse saving habits which are the cause of family unhappiness too, picking up redundant habits which only make matters worse than better thus elder folks are either unable to live happily with their children and grandchildren.

When grandparents’ saving ideology worsen and degrades into scrimping and squeezing every single possible cent out from any offer etc, now that is a saving behavior and mindset gone completely wrong and children can’t accept nor understand the changes thus they just move out.

Ugly saving ideas and behaviors such as plastic bags, starting form the aunties group all the way to grandmothers, whatever they do, wet market, super market, dinning in or out, plastic bags are the sure take item and they take lots of it. Taking back empty boxes, paper cardboards, newspapers etc, all back home to safe-keep in case there’s a need one day for the box which still can be used to store things.

When they pick up the items, to them it’s saving money, but without proper arrangement, it transform into a house full of junk items and the grandparents or aunties are super reluctant to throw away the items which are junk in our eyes. Those items can be recycled in recycling centers and even for profit but elders are ignorant, they don’t know, so to help get rid of their ‘junk’, we need to sort and tidy it, than sell it away, money pass to them so they will keep quiet.

Next time if somebody teaches you to save money, look and observe what saving practice do they use themselves?  If it is savings to scrimping, don’t even follow. If it is savings to investment than you stick to that person and learn it well.
