Direct Selling is the business strategy used by companies all over the world to market and sell products directly to the end customers.

It is both an effective and efficient business model for the business operators as well as the customers. For starters and majority of the people, it may seems that direct selling is just all about selling, selling and more selling.

But over my years in going in-depth into the business industry, meeting many different distributors, business leaders from different companies, it over 90% of the people whom I have met all are focus on the sales aspects, inclusive of even the a couple business owners of the industry.

Actually there are more to it than it meets the eye. The very reason why many successful business owners, authors, motivational speakers talk about network marketing is simply because they understand the benefits inside out, from a business perspective, which I know all too well, cause that’s the perspective I’m coming from to, as it helped me learn the ropes to the industry, the rules, ethics, customer service, technical troubleshooting of difficult clients, overcoming skeptic prospects, reverse brain-washed prospects, winning them over, business growth and expansion, marketing, advertising and promotion campaigns, events management, running, are all the many different skills that I have learned over the years.

On becoming a direct selling expert, learning the same information, skills, knowledge, yet why i managed to learn far more than other people? Perhaps you might say it’s luck, but I’ll say I had a very different goal that is to learn the secrets and strategies of the trade and not to make any money which is what majority of the clients had in their mind.

With the difference in thinking, it affects the way we process learning, absorption of knowledge, how we analyze the results and perspective, thus the outcome is different.

The reasons for success in the trade is actually pretty simple, exact duplication, in other words, copying 100% just like what franchise business models do in any country. But there’s a catch, that most companies are even in the unknown, inclusive of top level international companies, they are duplicating the wrong sets of skills, information to the clients who turn distributors, thus as much as it is a trillion dollar industry, many of which still have difficult pushing it even the billion dollar company let alone hit the trillion.

The industry is fill with anything and everything but honesty, loyalty, integrity, humility, ethics, moral values conducive working environment . That is why there are so many companies (competitors) growing on a yearly basis, sales distributors keep on switching around, hoping to find the best company and prospects from themselves.

Just like doing any business, even in trading, all trades requires the same set of basic skills, that is selling, but what other businesses cannot offer to their employees in preparation is for the real business operations, running the daily routine, growing the profits while keeping cost low, thinking of ways to find new clients, all these are the skills that can be learned from direct selling, yet, not many actually even realize the importance of on-job-training in learning the ropes of the business.

In every company, they stand an equal chance of success as well as failure. Yet majority of the clients turn distributors belittle the opportunity presented to them to learn the trade of the business. But it is not a simple route, in fact it is a road less traveled, as one cannot learn all even a handful of the skills I mentioned above in a single company, thus that warrants a different strategies and methods to accelerate and speed up the learning process while keeping the cost to the minimal.

Success is the mother of all failures. It is a age old wisdom quote. I managed to eliminate all skeptics due to the multiple failures that i had gain as experience as well as learning from other people’s failures (who they themselves didn’t reflect on) plus getting feedback from the clients, and always learning from customers. The very reason why businesses exist is to sell clients what they want, and not what business owners want to sell.

Difficulty is either the state or condition of being difficult. It is a task that requires commitment, concentration and determination in order to overcome the difficulty of completing a task dedicated to us from our superiors or parents with our interest at heart to grow up stronger, better even under pressure.

Nothing is easy in the world. even cooking, something that is so simple, but it is never easy, because starters often find it very difficult because of a few common mistakes of doing the wrong steps without proper techniques nor guidance thus they will either end up with cut fingers, if not burnt food when attempting to deep fry it, or end up with extremely salty food. Only those who learn the techniques from master chefs are able to come up with a pleasing dish to serve in a restaurant. Those who didn’t do a good job however still can sell, but they sell it cheaper, and to provide convenience to the customers rather than customers preferred choice, which differentiates between the good, average and bad.

Studying is just as difficult, only the top students will get the opportunities to choose the subjects they want to study and continue their education, whereas the average and below average students just take up any advance education that helps push them forward just not to be left behind, despite taking up a subject that he/she may not like.

Making money is the same, it is simple, as long as they learn the secret techniques, but majority choose not to, by working and doing it their own way, they work before they have to, not because they choose to. If making huge sums of money requires the same level of effort, commitment, perseverance as earning mere  sufficient money to meet daily requirement and fulfill basic needs, I see no difference in adding just a little bit more effort in learning how to earn huge amounts of money many times over the basic salary for a better living standards.

Even finding your other half is difficult, no, it is extremely difficult to find the ideal half, who will not have you regret your decision and end up in divorce few years later. It is easy to get married, but it is difficult to maintain a blissful, happy marriage till the end of life.

Sometimes, I can’t help but wonder, who are the really lazy people and who are the hardworking individuals.

95% of the people might think that hardworking individuals earn the most while lazy people earn the least, but the reality is completely reversed if you were to think about it carefully.

Rich people work so little, yet earn so much. (Laziness)

Poor people work so hard, work such long hours yet earn so little. (Hardworking)

Now ask yourself, how many times have you kept working and working, expecting to earn the same amount, restarting your efforts on a daily basis without compounding your efforts and earn more on a daily basis?

Actually work should be just like the way banks pay interest. If we know how to compound our work efforts, and multiply the results yet reducing the physical work require, that is real laziness, for lazy people are intelligent individuals, they use their brains, and not their body.

On the other hand, look at the poor employees, which I in the past used to be one, but is in the midst of conversion, slowly but surely. They work so hard, overwork, underpaid, complaint so little, yet earn so little.

The rich complaint about everything they don’t like, yet earn money from their complaints.

Perhaps this is the first time you even heard of this fact, but it is one way whereby the rich makes money, but complaining to the business owner, service provider that it isn’t up to their expected level of service standards, they get complimentary meals, lodging, gifts, and even free products.

Those really intelligent complain and make tons of money, from which by finding fault with some businesses, ensuring that only they have the instant solution, sell the solution to the business owner/operator and make a profit by helping other business prosper.

That’s the difference between positive and negative complaints.

Earning money is simple but it is never easy, as long as you know what techniques to use, you’ll get the hang of it in no time. Just get the basics right.

Everything that we do is in fact difficult, so if we are always facing difficulty, why not instead learn to be lazy instead of being hardworking? Think about it.

If you want to succeed, learn to start using your brains, so you can work hard and play hard. “You don’t need to be smart, you just need to hire people who are smarter than you. If you get it, great, if you don’t best of luck!”

If you want to fail, continue doing what you are doing without making any change to you daily routine of study hard, work hard.

If you want to fail faster, do nothing.

Everything that we do on a daily basis carries a certain amount of risk regardless of it being big or small, it is unavoidable.

Elimination is part of every day life.

It happens anywhere and everywhere. From games, schools, to relationships and even in businesses. It is happening on a daily basis.

In a game, like Survivor, where it is both a game as well as reflection of real life, those deemed as a threat to others are quickly being eliminated. In Survivor Redemption Island, Russell was  eliminated from the game, thanks to his team purposely lose to the immunity challenge just to vote him out, and they too paid a heavy price for voting him out in the end for not knowing how to play the game, which they could simply learn it by keeping Russel in the game and kick the weaker competitors out, given the fact that they are fighting against another team who has an equally strong opponent Rob who later gained full control of his team and was finally declared a Survivor Winner on his fourth attempt.

In academic education, the strongest students with the best results gets to choose their desired courses when they graduate and move on to the higher education. In the business sector, elimination signs are clear, but inexperienced individuals know nothing about the signs, and before they know it, they are debt ridden with enormous debts and unable to save their businesses and in worse case scenerios, forced liquidation and filing for bankruptcy.

It is only up to today, that I realized the real definition of elimination having being eliminated from the business sphere, due to zero profits in one of my test projects. The reasons, I know what went wrong, but it only came to me when some one told me that was not workable. Than I rethink the past, where it was rejected by my mentor previous..somehow it make sense..but one thing is confusing..while my mentor don’t want to be part of the potentially failure business venture, he and his business partner, his own mentor even tried and tested it themselves before joining another business venture similar to what I have already failed in.

So the confusion and question is: Is it what I’m doing not workable, or is it the ways which I’m doing it is wrong, thus it calls for a change of strategies to make it a success?

Business elimination is cruel, it comes without warning, nor will anybody be there to advise you, for every natural business elimination means one less competitor and more business to their own business. Such is a cruel and harsh fact that explains why doing business is so simple, but it is not as easy as you think it is.

It is actually more difficult than it seems on the surface.

From what I have learned, here’s what you can take away to avoid repeating the same mistakes and notice the signs of elimination in future.

1. It comes to you quietly like a sniper or a vulture waiting for the perfect opportunity to go in for the kill.

2. You will expose most of your weakness to your competitors without you even knowing it.

3. There is little competition for that specific market. (It can be either your competitors themselves knows nothing too, or it is just a gold mine waiting to be discovered)

4. You will get hungrier day by day. In terms of financial terms, zero profit, with growing expenses to maintain a failed project/business.

5. Your pace is getting slower and slower, while your competitors are catching up on you.

How you can avoid being eliminated or even being caught in the process are as follows:

1. Set a period of observation of the results.

2. Set a date (time limit) to pull the plug if it it not profitable and focus on other projects.

3. Don’t wait for results to come in before starting new projects. Instead, start multiple projects and develop new products and services while you wait for results to come in. This way you greatly minimize your risk of financial loss with some products that can give you a profit to cover for those loss making projects.

4. Hire the professionals with the network to help you sell the products, never depend on yourself due to limited resources as well as network.

5. Always attempt to new strategies, projects, and services to find the next best source of income, but do it discreetly to avoid telling your competitors what you are doing.

To avoid elimination, there is a very simple and easy rule. That is to follow the leader, copy and learn every single trick the leader does, and make good decisions that does not put yourself and others at risk. In the above picture, Survivor Redemption Island, Russell’s team did exactly that, a poor decision to kick him out, fighting against another strong opponent without a equally experienced leader to lead the fight, that resulted in the whole team’s loss.

To win and succeed, it is always about the basics, follow the leader. (Learn, copy and model after everything that the leader does and wait for your chance, and duplicate the same thing). It is as simple as that, something that I failed to realized sooner. Luckily, I was eliminated with minimal financial loss, for i have couple of back-up plans in pocket.

Failure is the state of inability in meeting or achieving a desired or intended objective for completing a task, role or duty.

While majority if not all man on earth seek success, only a handful out of the six billion plus population on earth are able to achieve their targets set by themselves or by the organization they are working for.

While most people seek only success, and avoid failure, the people who did it, all knows one thing in common, they first have to go through numerous attempts and disappointments, failures before they can succeed.

Yet most people still avoid failure and yet expecting to achieve success in their life time. That may be possible, but only if people blindly follow the formula, step by step without modifying any of the instructions in the process until they succeed.

There are many good business of success practiced by multi-national corporations (MNCs) that share information and have complete transparency that increase their success.

Excellent examples will be of the aviation, health, food sectors, police cooperation on both local and global information exchange. One’s failure helps many other businesses locally and globally so as not to repeat the same mistakes again. Yet many individuals choose not to learn from other people’s experience and follow their own steps in finding their success.

Call it stupid, or foolish, but I believe it is part of living. It is the learning of life itself, how nature will let us learn what is humility and what we can do and cannot do that will only push us forward by force even if we don’t like it. It’s just reality.

Just the picture itself, while we grow older, wiser, climbing the social status ladder is what everybody has being taught, trained, and naturally are already doing. But when they miss a step thanks to a broken step along the ladder, they just retreat back to the previous safer option of waiting at the safest closest step of the highest point one step below the broker step.

While some slightly adventurous individuals will attempt to skip the broken step, and move forward to the next higher step to continue the climb, and a few others may depend on purely their arm strength to continue climbing upwards to get a higher point for clarity and better view at the top with slightly more freedom on the top.

A failure and the different types of reaction to reacting to what the situation calls for determines who is the winner at the end of the task if there is ever a time limit.

But in real life, there’s no limit, we are only limited by the life time which we live, and it is an unknown factor. Over the past few years, I have being testing trying different methods of entrepreneurship to find the success that i know is there, yet it is so near yet so far. Four times of lost opportunity and failure is sufficient to tell me to learn and stick to the very basics.

As much as how talented I know I am in direct selling, customer service and internet marketing in providing and sporting problems from the root of the cause almost immediately used by individuals and in businesses in every day application, it is useless without person or a company who will give a chance for the talents to use their skills.

Being talented with eye for details at first look is not doubt good, but that has made me to become stubborn and in flexible which i have come to terms with by now.  That is the humility that life has taught me, that failure is a very helpful teacher itself although the results failure throws in your face is not pleasant, but it will help us grow better.

The methods I have used to date all give me a identical result which is no result nor profit if i continue doing it the way it is. Times have come and requires me to change the way i do things if I want to succeed.

Last time, i work myself all these years, depending on my limited savings, hoping to create products for profit, which proved to be fruitless. Now it’s time for a change..another trial and error..as i rejoin the ranks of employee..at least working, earning money for the next few years perhaps while I put reduce the entrepreneur priority and save more money so in future, I have sufficient money at my disposal when a opportunity comes my way.

Battle to many is nothing but a combat between two or more parties fighting over something ranging from assets, to land to property rights, anything that’s related to money.

It is actually more of like a marketing campaign if you were to look at more in depth.

The difference is what makes the rich richer and the poor poorer. The stronger, well equipped depending on the type of battle always wins. It is this simple idea and difference in thinking that draws and divide the line between being rich, or poor, successful individuals or failures in life.

Just think, would you pay to watch people fight? There are so many types of pay to watch fights all over. Wrestling, boxing racing and even war..all competitors are in a race to fight to the end with hopes to emerge as the winner. The experienced past winners always have a higher chance of winning.

Both the organizer and participants are rewarded for being part of the battle. The audience however may either lose or win depending on the bets he or she made.

The battle although they are both winners and losers, yet both are considered winners, for publicity is already made, awareness created, engrave inside people’s mind, becoming the talk over the next few days until the next fight comes along.

The audience on the other hand, stands to gain very little if not almost close to zero unless they win at betting. Sports during competition are considered as a battle, while daily routine and practice is part of the competition to increase their competitive edge against themselves, and their partners (team-mates) and competitors to avoid being replaced or eliminated with a stronger competitor when the contract expires.

The rich makes lots of money from a simple battle, while the poor lost lots of money in a battle for they fight to harm themselves without getting any reward in return nor do they get any recognition nor awareness out of which. The only thing they get is negative publicity which ruins their future creditability, a black negative record to their track record that only worsen they ability to succeed in future.

Having said my point, the next time if you are being challenged into a battle or a fight, think twice if not trice, if you stand to gain something or not. Should you get injured, at what price, if you make any profit over the injuries in the process and if that same injury can increase your odds of winning to create more publicity (in-direct future profit) in the long term.

Don’t get into a fight, competition or battle if you stand to lose from that activity.

A teacher is an individual who facilitates the education to a person if not to a group of students in either a tuition center or in a school environment.

While parents are frequently looked up as the person in charged of educating the children entrusted to them by their parents who are paying the school for a service offered, it is still up to the parents themselves to be a role model which children can learn from.

For a teacher only has limited teaching hours with students unlike parents who have unlimited and considered much longer hours with their own children.

Depending on what you aspire to be, each and every one of us should find the correct teacher who will in turn teach and impart us the skills, knowledge required for us to move forward and achieve success in life.

But most people, both students regardless of children or parents failed to accept the fact that the education that parents pay for in terms of academic education is only of little importance, for they only lay the basic elementary standards to communicate, listen, present and be understood.

For people who think that academic education can guarantee success, think again, and ask yourself who are the top of the rich list in the Forbes.They are all males and also doing businesses catering to different demands, and providing business solutions.

To succeed, it is not possible to expect to succeed with a degree certification and climb your way up to success. In fact, it is creativity, stubbornness, persistence in being the best that you can be at whatever you do that makes you stand out from the rest.

It is not what you study that makes you rich and successful, but rather the courage, and determination to stick with your decision and take whatever it cost to make it a success. That in short is what all businessmen do, despite all failures, just finding coming up with nothing but solutions to problems and duplicate whatever that works and grow the business without limiting themselves to a fixed answer.

You don’t need a definite answer, nor is there any to begin with. Success is unlike education, where there are rules, formulas, and answers to follow. It is like a constantly moving target that is difficult to hit the bulls eye, thus most of the wealth belongs onto to the top twenty percent of the population across the globe.

The best use of learning from a teacher is in fact to learn from them the already tested and proven answer of what will lead you towards nothing but failure in life if you aspire to be broke in your lifetime. They show you the tested way how not to be rich, overworked, underpaid, and most importantly, not being in control f their own life.

Just look at some of the occupations such as parents, lawyers, doctors, policemen, auditors, accountants, teachers, engineers, regular employees, your superiors who complain everything under the sun, lack of flexible working hours desirable to start a family, ever increasing workload without pay increment that is on-par with the work involved. Such is the life if you choose to listen to what they advice you to do, by following their footsteps, the path towards being average.

On the other hand, you should in fact thank the employees who are complaining about their work, life and everything, the more you get to know and learn about how unhappy they are, the better and clearer it is to you. Why, because they already told you steps that does not lead in a conclusive answer or prospect that you are looking for.

Find a role model who already is and currently living the live that you want, and learn from them, make them your teacher if you want to succeed.

Just find a right teacher, and most importantly, be a good student, follow and obey all rules, set out by the teacher, experience and failure are your best teacher for they clearly tell you what is not working so you can faster come up with a solution to make things work. Thus the shortcut towards success is to learn and tap on people’s experience, find out what went wrong with the approach that your seniors are doing, and modify it with a better solution to come up with a better results.

Listen attentively to people’s complain, but try to provide them with a solution to reduce their problems, at a profit, this way you make money.

Preparation is what everybody was taught, and trained to do. It is the practice of getting ready for either an event, a opportunity, career, starting a family or taking up of new responsibilities.

We are never prepared, life is always a continuous state of preparation, from school to work, to family, to business, to protection, coverage, whatever we do, we are on the move, so if you think you are ready, actually you’re not, just that you are better prepared than others against who may not have even think of it in the first place.

While getting prepared for something doesn’t guarantees success, but not getting ready definitely guarantees failure. Like it or not, start getting ready for the next big thing.

You don’t need to know or predict what it is, but here’s a basic list of essential stuffs that everybody must be prepared in times of anything..

Money (Captial for investment; Savings for a rainy day against retrenchment; Wealth accmulation against inflation at the very least)

Health (Good diet, exercise habits help greatly reduce any disease, illness from spreading to you with a stronger body of high immunity and resilience)

Change (Always be prepared to accept, adapt associate yourself with new stuffs; e.g technology as not being in the loop will result in out of the loop equals to being out of technology thus losing your competitive edge in your occupation or business)

Protection (Learn to protect yourself, your family and friends whom you care against any harm way such as liars, cheaters, crimes)

Start reflecting on what you need to prepare and get ready for the next big thing of change..ride with the next big wave and learn how to duck dive under the wave in order to spot and be on top of the next incoming big wave like a surfer.

The more prepared you are, the more you narrow your odds of failure increasing your success probability.

An examiner is a person who conducts, inspect and examine if the participants or candidates of the exam are trying their best in any way possible to prevent any cheating, copying cases within the examination period.

Always reminding you to lie to yourself that working for others is a safe job, despite the facts that you are only safe as long as you are not fired, without knowing when you will get fired.

The other extremely efficient inspectors are your very deal friends whom most people often seek out companionship with in order not to feel a sense of loneliness and they jolly well make 200% sure you hang out with them. People avoid doing many things either out of fear, rejection, lack of knowledge, past failure experience and many other reasons. To the majority those can be considered reasons, but to the really mentally sound and on the way towards success, anything and everything that they say, talk or discuss of why they are not there yet are all nothing but excuses.

People who embrace such nasty expression, feelings and turn them around will only find the silver lining if they work hard, and work smart with the right people, venue and time by doing whats right and not what’s wrong that is embraced and celebrated surprisingly on an annual basis at count-down events.

Celebrating a new year, new beginnings, and yet accepting the facts that majority of the ticket holders who head down to such events did not accomplish anything that will push them forward in their lives, except to waste another year of youth and precious live not chasing after their own dreams, hopes, aspirations, wealth, health nor success.

Instead what is reported the next day on news are only reports of lingerie, panties, rape, pic-pokets and other crimes committed, with lots of empty bottles of alcohol as part of cleaning up the event premises, with couple of injuries all over the world depending on the scale of the celebration based how the security guards, event organizers plan the event for respective countries.

Looking back, what have you done? Are you going to surround yourself with the fine inspectors and auditors that you already have and waste your youth and precious life away only to regret in future for not even trying?

The next time you look at such events, think twice about the purpose of a celebration, and if you have done anything great to deserve a pat on your own back?

I’m not trying to say that we can’t celebrate, but do so only after you have completed your goal(s). You can reward yourself with small treats after a long working hours after a month. Don’t blindly celebrate for nothing, especially being happy for achieving nothing in life for the past year.

Success is actually always pestering everyone of us to work harder, but in a slightly negative and nasty form that we don’t like. Mockery, colored vision stares and glares, gossips about our bad results, anything but pleasant experience, especially nagging which really piss anybody off.

Love it or hate it, it’s your own choice, how you react to it depends on your will and action to succeed. It is here to stay, learn to handle all the nasty setbacks and conquer them.

You can choose to be the killer or be the killed. If you don’t want to kill all those mockery, gossips that comes your way and blanket them with testimonies of success, rewards, recognition, than you’ll be killed.

The chase can sometimes become the chased. Success or Failure, it all depends on you yourself.

Zone in dictionary context may be nothing more than just territory or area in different nations, but in it has a deeper meaning in terms of entrepreneurship.

You might have come across if not heard of the phrase “Get in the zone” before..but have you ever thought what it truly means?

In world of business, where it is constantly at war for the following: niche market, brand,  retain and grow clients, profits by bringing more value and convenience to the end users who are ultimately the real boss of any business.

This question has always being bothering me for years..it was only recently that the puzzle has being solved..thanks to National Achievers Congress 2011 Singapore organized by Success Resources. With a ticket, attended the full three days..it is than I realized that I finally understand what it means.

Like majority if not all of the speakers having a similarity despite being different individuals, they all know where, what and how to play in their own zone.

If you’re still confused, it actually refers to playing by your core competency at where your strength truly lies in. Having the skill is not enough, to be able to continuously work without working is the definition of getting in the zone.

Find out, and ask yourself where your strengths and interest truly lies, if you can ever convert your passion into your life and provide value to the others.

Once you truly mastered and grasp the idea of what you can do for the whole of your life until you die without regrets, complains regardless of the hard work, little returns no matter how small it may be..you by than will have found your own zoning.

The elusive unique area that lies your passion, find ways to fuel your passion, keep it running, get comfortable (against all odds of rejections, disapproval) doing what you love, even if you may experience tremendous set backs on your journey towards your goal, just push on.

The reason why most entrepreneurs fail during their starting up phrase is due to failure to get within their own zones respectively. Once they experience financial issues, they take many steps back, but only an true entrepreneur push on, seeking other means to solve that problem with every single new attempt to fix whatever that’s not working in their favor and converting every No into a Yes as the ultimate goal.

Have you found your own zone yet? If you have not, start looking.

If you don’t know how to start, try out anything and everything that you can get yourself and your hands on..try everything, and ask if you like whatever you are doing currently, and if you can continue to do that very thing which you will not get sick off til the last day of your life.

If you found it, great, if you don’t start exploring. By the way, that’s the purpose of your life – the calling of your inner soul..that gets the super wealthy, influential individuals moving, staying clean from drugs, sex and bad publicity.

Find something that will allay your inner peace, give you a sense of happiness, most often that comes from sharing or helping others to find that value which you believe to be beneficial to many others too.
