Communication is a conversation which everybody does; in fact every single living organism does it. The ability to communicate to each other if done successfully gets the results expected. Failure to communicate efficiently will result in nothing but failure.
Communication is a conversation with many different interpretations and understandings based on respective experiences with different individuals. What you understand from this might not be what he/she understands of this.
I was exchanging a short messaging service (SMS) with a friend (F) of mine, having seen the contents which show signs of being a complete newbie in multi-level-marketing (MLM) I than decided to show it to my partner (M) who may not have the same understanding and teaching which I had so I communicate and exchange ideas behind every single message exchanged in the process between my friend and I.
With every reply I got, and the response I intended to type and sent, I discussed it with him (M) and both him and I realized that we’re thinking from different perspective because his experience and what he learnt was different from what I learnt coming from different background etc.
At times, I stick to my preferred reply methods, while at times I adopt his idea and method which M would use to reply to the same response I receive from my friend F. With each response received, I was able to predict the reply I expected it to be due to experiences in lots of similar conversations and backing it up with reasons, thus both M and I learnt from this simple SMS discussion which was live.
Through this simple discussion, I realized that M was thinking just the way accordingly to what was commonly taught in such MLM business trainings. While I on the other hand learn from both MLM trainings and enhance my learning deepen it with reading self-improvement books thus the different in thinking.
The exercise was a great success. Though it was a simple one, but we both learnt the differences of each other and had our ideas exchanged, messaged crossed over to each other and understood it which aid in our learning process. With the same response (questions from F), different replies variations came out from M and I so it was a triple win situation.
First win, I managed to convince F to join me, second win, M learn the way I analyze and reply to a question and third, F got to learn of a better opportunity to learn from millionaires instead of learning from ordinary people who aren’t having successful testimonials to prove their ability to generate wealth.
