Search Engine Marketing Image

Today marks a fresh new start, not in my employment since I’m coming close to working for six weeks in the company.

It marks a fresh start as I start implementing the changes to the business website, gradually implementing the changes and trying to fix the problems inherited from past web designers and wrong direction of agenda behind the website of the company that I’m now working for.

Working on full time may seems like there’s more than sufficient time to carry out the work, but when you are alone and doing all the things, it seems that time is always not enough, given the scope of work is completely different than small scale websites that has only less than ten pages.

Currently dealing with website with at least over a thousand pages, having to clear out the unnecessary contents, highlighting what’s important for the business to put it in a right direction. Using optimization tactics to leverage on other keywords to grow the company’s branding, and generate awareness.

Corporate internet campaign management is challenging, as there are many difficult obstacles that cannot be removed due to business (branding) and must come up with other ways to increase the traffic without diluting the branding by not featuring it within the website nor the contents.

There’s a dateline for everything, and the part about being employed is we as marketers cannot say no, so have to say yes and push on, while it is a thing to accept, but i find it fun and interesting, valuable business experience and helps in gaining my wisdom in learning the ropes to business side in knowing what they really want.

Only now do I realize why my mentor Fabian Lim always emphasis on the word, results in the form of revenue. There is at least two to three tiers of layers to the word results.

1. Results is first priority in any business.

2. Revenue results speaks for itself, grows the business and is a additional trophy in a portfolio.

3. When money is earned, than only will be be more interested to continue learning, so as to earn more, and that’s the fun part.

But it’s much more difficult than I thought it is. It is not like a walk in the park or by the beach. It’s more like digging a tunnel in the center of a mountain with just a shovel and no bombs to blast a way through nor to soften the area meant for digging.

Below are a few list of difficulties:

1. Navigating the web browser compatibility

2. Review all website links both internally and externally and build them correctly

3. Modifying the text used in the content

4. Keywords optimization: Review, Research and Roll-out new choice of specially targeted keywords.

5. Re-directing old website and pages over to new site, having to deal with different kinds of error where redirecting is concerned.

6. Implementing advertising despite a not optimized website yet (business side of efficiency)

7. Outsourcing: Bringing suitable 3rd parties in to speed up the advertising process and finding the right party to engage their services.

8. Limited period: To test and measure the results within reasonable time given, and make changes along the way.

9. Work delegation: Working with web designer, graphic designer, webmaster and content writer to meet their demands etc, getting related individuals to do the important tasks before anything else can be continued.

10. Coming up with different strategies to increase and grow the revenue.

11. Maintaining of the website and keep it in proper working condition for the users.

12. Working on multiple task simultaneously.

While I am just starting out, most of the tasks to do are already expected, in short to long term to be implemented. Getting into the company is challenging, and a working on a large scale project is engagement and helps develop oneself as well as the whole company, it is a win-win situation for both sides.

Sales and Marketing Picture

In any business, you often see big companies have many departments, especially two departments that seems to share the same job scope when sales is concerned.

They are the Sales and Marketing department followed by the Advertising and Promotion department.

Big companies have both of these departments whereas small businesses only focus on advertising and promotions, this is the primarily reason why most small businesses never ever grow bigger, because they are not copying the best practices in business organizations.

Sales and marketing is actually more like a branding campaign. One that sells a brand, promoting the value, encouraging the loyalty and offering unforgettable customer service experience in giving customers as well as business partners more reasons why they would want to come back to buy from a company that focus on sales and marketing.

Advertising and promotions on the other hand is a quick temporary method to boost sales, generate traffic and create publicity to get people talking about the brand. The focus here is to generate more interest in either a newly launched product or service to clients and giving them more reasons to visit the new business over existing businesses who may not be offering such offers and rebates to attract new leads with hopes of converting them into a customer and try to convert them into long term loyal returning customers with the help of sales and marketing department.

In traditional businesses, only companies with big and deep pockets that goes into millions are able to have both departments in their business to grow the business, this is where the newly start-ups and small medium businesses are unable to compete due to lack of financial ability where they are up against the big boys.

But with search engine marketing, the use of of paid and free search engine listings offers all businesses regardless, big, small, medium or even new/yet to be established businesses an equal opportunity to achieve the same results on the internet using search engine marketing strategies.

Using Google helps business succeed faster than smaller search engines, due to the difference in market share, the amount of exposure it gives to the business both locally and globally at the same time without over spending. At the same time collect specific data and information from clients that traditional offline businesses may even have difficulty collecting feed-backs from their clients.

Search engine marketing results page are actually divided into two categories, which are known only to internet marketers, business owners who are paying money to advertise online, that is unknown to the general public.

Pay-per-click (PPC) marketing is actually what we considered to be of a advertising and promotion campaign, while Search engine optimization (SEO) is considered to be a branding campaign.

PPC is a campaign that gives immediate results that as business owners, investors and retails can easily measure and determine if the returns on investment is worthy and should they continue to advertise on search engines, results given helps businesses determine where their markets are, age group, demographics, race, age group, what kind of browser, user/client search behavior etc.

It gives business a detail report of what exactly are clients searching, and as professional PPC consultants, service providers, it is up to the consultants to provide quality, valuable information to help businesses refine their ads and improve on the conversion so as to help businesses target the right clients. But there are so many self-proclaimed experts online i still are able to see and point out their mistakes with a simple search and look at their paid ad on search engines if they are implementing the correct strategies or not.

SEO on the other hand is a sales and marketing campaign. One that helps business build creditability, value over time in the form of an intangible asset as known in accountants when it comes to balance sheet reporting. It is meant to provider viewers, searchers relevant information related to their immediate words that they are searching for. Google has done an excellent job in refining their algorithm over the past few years, giving us marketers a much more easier life at providing quality content without having to fight for positions in the search engines against those marketers using black hat seo strategies.

Since it is a marketing, branding campaign, it should be, and rightfully be more expensive than the cost of engaging a PPC consultant or service provider, but the irony is that, I see local companies doing the reverse. PPC services are much more expensive than SEO services, such a business landscape and pricing reflects the low level of professional understanding of what search engine marketing is actually about.

Neither do the businesses providing such services care about these things, a point that I observe over the past few years. They just take the clients money, show results, but did not provide suggestions on how they can better improve and help clients earn more money by identifying untapped markets, a skill that as professional consultant or service provider should do, yet there is very little search engine marketers doing what is actually recommended, in fact it is considered a best practice, that many business providers are not offering at this moment.

Should any businesses plan to scale their business locally and globally, they should consider hiring only professionals, and test them in terms of their knowledge, and not based on their clients profile, as clients, they don’t know what they are getting is good or bad.

So the next time if you need help determining if you or your business is in safe hands of a professional, just refer back to this blog entry and test them. You will be surprised that they might not even know these facts. This information is what I took over the years to compare the difference between traditional and online business models, before coming to such a conclusion.

I hope this piece of information helps you in one way or another.

Value Of Search Engine Marketing

posted by ryan

SEM Picture

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is sub divided into organic and paid traffic.

Organic search results is results that appears on search engines for free without any fees needed. Should a website be properly optimized, it will appear on either one if not couple of different search engines. The seo results will actually be found in other different countries local results page as well.

Over the past year or so, i occasionally have clicks and viewers from India, United Kingdom, Canada, Philippines, India, Malaysia, Singapore and United States from time to time. I have just checked as a matter of fact, and my website result was found on page one for those respective countries listed above.

It allowed my own blog to be found on Google in different countries and it is literally free of charge. For business owners, investors who want to increase their business presence both locally and globally, search engine optimization is a must have to be used as a marketing strategy.

It will help local businesses know global demand of their products and services without having to invest in a physical retail store first, by first getting found on different countries search engines, it will help businesses identify potential markets overseas and determine if there is any demand for their products and services based on inquiries to their products and services from viewers’ questions when they contact the service provider.

The only disadvantage of this strategy is that it will require anywhere from seven days to months and years before getting onto page one results based on respective competitive keywords that internet marketers are optimizing for.

Paid traffic, which is commonly known as pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is a way whereby businesses can buy immediate traffic to their websites in as soon fifteen minutes upon publishing the ad life on google adwords. Most businesses would prefer ppc over seo is primarily due to the return on investment.

PPC has a higher conversion as compared to tradition advertising channels. As such it provides clients the real qualified statistics where business owners can calculate the cost per lead, cost per sale and adjust their marketing budget accordingly. With proper optimization of keywords using broad match, it allows businesses to also identify keywords that advertisers may not think off, thus opening new opportunities and markets that may be untapped by other marketers.

With the results collected based on clicks, it allows users to narrow and refine and edit their keywords accordingly to stop non-performing keywords and focusing only on high click through keywords and ads so as to increase the profitability. Such is a recommended practice by most if not all businesses all over the world, as they focus only on performance basis to reward accordingly.

Following the recent years, social media optimization (SMO) has being once popular, but has reduce slightly too, due to the changes made by Google algorithm to give users more relevant results, thus social media has a slightly lower priority as compared to before. Most ill equipped marketers and businesses are actually captializing on clients ignorance in offering social media marketing services that actually doesn’t really gives them (the businesses) high conversion rates as compared to PPC, due to the nature of smo.

Social media is actually meant to be use as a awareness campaign and create more attention to the business, brand or a new product during its initial launch, and not to be used as marketing. It is only to be used as advertising directly users, readers to get more information from physical retail outlets or from online websites. That’s what it should be used for.

With the growing presence of iPhones, HTC and Android, mobile marketing is on the rise, and it is to be integrated with internet marketing, but there is a catch, if you bundle mobile marketing together with SEO and PPC, businesses should be able to double if not triple their sales depending on the budget businesses allocates on a monthly basis.

Mobile phones have both full website integration features as well as apps for advertising purposes, thus businesses should adopt new trend and help businesses grow. especially small medium businesses with low financial abilities, this is when the small medium enterprises can ride on the wave and grow their business, with minimal advertising cost.

Direct Selling

posted by ryan

Direct Selling Picture

Direct Selling is the business strategy used by companies all over the world to market and sell products directly to the end customers.

It is both an effective and efficient business model for the business operators as well as the customers. For starters and majority of the people, it may seems that direct selling is just all about selling, selling and more selling.

But over my years in going in-depth into the business industry, meeting many different distributors, business leaders from different companies, it over 90% of the people whom I have met all are focus on the sales aspects, inclusive of even the a couple business owners of the industry.

Actually there are more to it than it meets the eye. The very reason why many successful business owners, authors, motivational speakers talk about network marketing is simply because they understand the benefits inside out, from a business perspective, which I know all too well, cause that’s the perspective I’m coming from to, as it helped me learn the ropes to the industry, the rules, ethics, customer service, technical troubleshooting of difficult clients, overcoming skeptic prospects, reverse brain-washed prospects, winning them over, business growth and expansion, marketing, advertising and promotion campaigns, events management, running, are all the many different skills that I have learned over the years.

On becoming a direct selling expert, learning the same information, skills, knowledge, yet why i managed to learn far more than other people? Perhaps you might say it’s luck, but I’ll say I had a very different goal that is to learn the secrets and strategies of the trade and not to make any money which is what majority of the clients had in their mind.

With the difference in thinking, it affects the way we process learning, absorption of knowledge, how we analyze the results and perspective, thus the outcome is different.

The reasons for success in the trade is actually pretty simple, exact duplication, in other words, copying 100% just like what franchise business models do in any country. But there’s a catch, that most companies are even in the unknown, inclusive of top level international companies, they are duplicating the wrong sets of skills, information to the clients who turn distributors, thus as much as it is a trillion dollar industry, many of which still have difficult pushing it even the billion dollar company let alone hit the trillion.

The industry is fill with anything and everything but honesty, loyalty, integrity, humility, ethics, moral values conducive working environment . That is why there are so many companies (competitors) growing on a yearly basis, sales distributors keep on switching around, hoping to find the best company and prospects from themselves.

Just like doing any business, even in trading, all trades requires the same set of basic skills, that is selling, but what other businesses cannot offer to their employees in preparation is for the real business operations, running the daily routine, growing the profits while keeping cost low, thinking of ways to find new clients, all these are the skills that can be learned from direct selling, yet, not many actually even realize the importance of on-job-training in learning the ropes of the business.

In every company, they stand an equal chance of success as well as failure. Yet majority of the clients turn distributors belittle the opportunity presented to them to learn the trade of the business. But it is not a simple route, in fact it is a road less traveled, as one cannot learn all even a handful of the skills I mentioned above in a single company, thus that warrants a different strategies and methods to accelerate and speed up the learning process while keeping the cost to the minimal.

Success is the mother of all failures. It is a age old wisdom quote. I managed to eliminate all skeptics due to the multiple failures that i had gain as experience as well as learning from other people’s failures (who they themselves didn’t reflect on) plus getting feedback from the clients, and always learning from customers. The very reason why businesses exist is to sell clients what they want, and not what business owners want to sell.

Battle

posted by ryan

Iraq War

Battle to many is nothing but a combat between two or more parties fighting over something ranging from assets, to land to property rights, anything that’s related to money.

It is actually more of like a marketing campaign if you were to look at more in depth.

The difference is what makes the rich richer and the poor poorer. The stronger, well equipped depending on the type of battle always wins. It is this simple idea and difference in thinking that draws and divide the line between being rich, or poor, successful individuals or failures in life.

Just think, would you pay to watch people fight? There are so many types of pay to watch fights all over. Wrestling, boxing racing and even war..all competitors are in a race to fight to the end with hopes to emerge as the winner. The experienced past winners always have a higher chance of winning.

Both the organizer and participants are rewarded for being part of the battle. The audience however may either lose or win depending on the bets he or she made.

The battle although they are both winners and losers, yet both are considered winners, for publicity is already made, awareness created, engrave inside people’s mind, becoming the talk over the next few days until the next fight comes along.

The audience on the other hand, stands to gain very little if not almost close to zero unless they win at betting. Sports during competition are considered as a battle, while daily routine and practice is part of the competition to increase their competitive edge against themselves, and their partners (team-mates) and competitors to avoid being replaced or eliminated with a stronger competitor when the contract expires.

The rich makes lots of money from a simple battle, while the poor lost lots of money in a battle for they fight to harm themselves without getting any reward in return nor do they get any recognition nor awareness out of which. The only thing they get is negative publicity which ruins their future creditability, a black negative record to their track record that only worsen they ability to succeed in future.

Having said my point, the next time if you are being challenged into a battle or a fight, think twice if not trice, if you stand to gain something or not. Should you get injured, at what price, if you make any profit over the injuries in the process and if that same injury can increase your odds of winning to create more publicity (in-direct future profit) in the long term.

Don’t get into a fight, competition or battle if you stand to lose from that activity.

Money

Money Image

There is a common saying: “Money makes the world goes round.”

It is especially real these days with Singapore being featured again as one of the top twenty highest proportion of millionaires, claiming again the number one spot for highest density of millionaires in the country.

Like what I have written on a page on Money, by 2017, 40% of the Singapore residences will be millionaires according to a wealth manager’s forecast. The report by Bloomberg above proofed to be true, and is supporting claim to the forecast.

Imagine for every five households that you visit in the year 2017 and after, every two out of the five household residences will be a millionaire. The signs are spelled out already so clearly straight in our face now with support of evidence.

So what is left for us to do now at this junction, to fast forward our wealth is to first learn the skills that a millionaire should know, how they invest in assets, reduce their liabilities and decision making process.

If you want to be successful, you should do exactly that, if you have not found a way yet, nor do you know of a way, allow me to help you, if you can trust me, contracts and legal documents to protect yourself, your investment is fine by me, as long as you are willing to invest in the knowledge that I have on hand and the tools that I know, that can help you become a millionaire.

For just a minimal of the lowest 5 digit investment ($10,000) of Singapore currency, profits are than divided 50/50 evenly for those who are willing to have blind faith.. Addressing to anybody across the globe who may have read or come across this blog by luck, referral or link. I just need one person regardless of where you are, just send me a note, and I’ll get back to you.

For those who are still undecided, refusing to accept all the facts that is parked right in front of you, be prepared to ask the same questions six years later in year 2017, when more and more of your friends, people around you become millionaires, and you are still there thinking, what is the difference between him and me?

The answer to that very question is plain straight forward: The Rich INVEST, The Poor SAVE.
So what happens if you know neither on how to invest nor save? You should park your money with the right person or investors.

It is easier to spot a potential candidate who already knows what to do, and how to handle wealth, than  follow the right person with your investment to grow it. Than to wait for the person to become a millionaire already then requesting to park your investments with them. By then, it is too late. If you have no idea what I’m talking, refer to the video on The World Greatest Money Maker: Warren Buffet from the 40th seconds to 50th seconds of the video, a initial investment of $10,000 snowballed and compiled into $50 Million dollars according to what are reported in the video.

I’m not saying that I’m as great as him, but at least perhaps there is a percentage that the $10,ooo will compile into at least a Million. That’s the price and opportunity for early bird investments who trust people who accepted to risk of zero returns as the worse case scenario.

If you want to cling onto a Millionaire when he/she is already accomplished, be prepared to be rejected, for new millionaires are only by than interested in helping people who has helped them in the past, so that said, its as good as not asking them. Your best options, is to make a good bet or discussion with the person whom you want to invest in, make sure he knows where and how to invest and grow the money before you entrust your investments with that person.

You better believe it, for I personally is have known and have seen how millionaires work, keeping secrets only to themselves and their trusted business partners. Those millionaires inclusive of my rich relatives, my mentor(s), whom I don’t hardly speak to, except for the yearly Chinese New Year greetings.

Find your own way to become millionaire fast, I’ve seen it myself on how one of my mentor became a millionaire himself, when he told us the month he hit his millionaire status and the difference in treatment before and after. Even relatives treatment over the years since I was young, a time when they are not as accomplished as they are now shows clear difference in treatment towards non-millionaires.

Millionaires worked extremely hard for their own network, and keep secrets to people who have helped and trusted them only.

If you aren’t sure how to become a millionaire, you should start finding your own millionaire mentor and seek guidance, follow exactly what they tell you to do. If you’re the lazy type, but is cash rich, pass the money over to me, I’ll help you with the investment part to grow your returns.

With that, I hope anybody who have read this blog post, can start focusing in the right direction to draw and follow your millionaire status soon.

Lie

posted by ryan

Lie Picture

According to Wikipedia, To lie is to state something with disregard to the truth with the intention that people will accept the statement as truth.

Such an action is considered as a white lie depending on the perspective and whom it is coming from especially if duties and interest is concerned.

As shown in the latest armed robbery in Brisbane, Australia, claiming the cop on duty who responded to a armed robbery only to end up getting shot himself.

In the report, Gold Coast mayor Ron Clarke said specifically “It’s a safe city. There’s no safer city to walk down the streets at night time,”

“I’ve been in cities all over the world and the Gold Coast is where I would want to be.” Clarke told the Gold Coast Bulletin newspaper.

Despite Director of the Violence Research Program Griffith University, Professor Paul Mazerolle saying opportunistic crimes are on the rise, but the extent to which some criminals are going to get away with a crime is surprising.

Simply by thinking from the shoes of respective employment and duty, it is therefore essential for the mayor Ron Clarke to say a white lie claiming Gold Coast to be safe, claiming to have gone to cities all over the world only to slap himself in the face with that very statement. Noting if he really did travel over many cities, he should know that Singapore is much more safer than Brisbane where extremely low percentage of being caught in a armed robbery given the strong punishment laws in Singapore.

Such is a lie meant to ignore the truth and hopefully have the ignorant people believing what he said is the truth due to their lack of knowledge. As the representative mayor of Brisbane, he cannot say anything against the city, thus he has no choice but to tell a white against Professor Paul Mazerolle’s statements.

Such is a duty of a representative to required to perform his or her duty despite the truth for they cannot penalized their own city to decrease the tourism in Gold Coast for he may risk facing the sack if he ever does so, thus it is understandable on why the mayor did exactly so.

Having said my point, it is essential and of high importance that anybody who wants to succeed, be in any area or sector must also learn this skill, how to lie, but do so without causing much impact to your own creditability.

Business is not about being the best of the best, but rather being the best in encouraging more growth which accounts for profit which is of most importance, even if one has to lie. But before anybody thinks they can outsmart the clients, think again, there are also certain rules on how to go about lying if a person or a business really must lie in order to survive and stay ahead if not afloat of the competition.

The art of marketing is not all about selling, it also depends on how you sell your weakness and packaging it to look at though it is valuable. That is what schools and even private schools will not teach for it is considered one of the top secret to marketing contributing to the success of the business.

Negotiation

posted by ryan

Negotiation Picture

Negotiation is to have a dialogue or discussion to gain an advantage outcome between two or more parties.

In every day life, negotiation is pretty simple, just plain talking, differentiating the pros and cons and reaching a conclusion with a win-win situation.

But in a business negotiation, it is somehow different. in which the prospective client wants results, immediate measurable results, data that can increase their sales. It is to examine and bring to the table of discussion on he/she can help grow the business.

Looking back at my past negotiation experiences, including of my most recent negotiation that just took place today in the afternoon, i realize there’s an important part in backing up your claims with your past activities. That proof of  you knowing exactly what you’re doing, and never to fake what you don’t know, honesty and sincerity are bonuses to increase the odd of another discussion in attempt to close a deal.

Having said that, I was also surprised that whatever materials I prepared wasn’t being looked at, instead, 98% of the session, it’s all about mutual understanding, knowing how to help each other by openly discussion of the compensation plan for the collaboration.

Today, perhaps I was lucky to be facing a friendly prospect who to are kind enough to listen and clarify what both sides can bring to the table. Thank god, i went into entrepreneurship, learning a valuable lesson today.

Another thing that i was surprised was that they welcome and was happy to do learn that i have met up with failure before thus it increases my odds of success. Something that non-business owners will not like to know, i think I’m starting to like the game of doing business, entrepreneurship.

No doubt it’s difficult, but it’s fun. Lol.. Glad that I made the decision to start my company and find clients. Valuable lessons that cannot be taught anywhere in school except in actual business discussion.

“Love what you do, and treat all difficulties like tonic to fuel your learning curve towards success” – That’s what i would sum up in this whole post.

Product Creation

posted by ryan

For the past few days,

I was writing my first e-book with intention to launch on 27th Jan 2011 for $27/-

With only 2-3 more chapters left, it should be an easy task even the customer support for a product is what comes after the sales which is where the real value of the product comes into play.

During the process, which i’m still in currently, it seems difficult at first, but when you actually settle down, have a peace of mind, empty your thoughts, than it will be easier than what you actually thought it would be..not as difficult as i initially thought to be..

There will still be some stumbling road blocks especially when writing the contents, but after so many years of mentally walking with some many stones..the time for change has come..and its a simple process..

Simply push all the problems aside, clear path way for a smooth journey, problems will always happen, the only way to move on is to execute and minimize problems from surfacing by preventing it from the start and not making detour or beating around the bush hoping the problem will KIA (killed in action = a unhappy client) itself when there’s no hope of solution which most small scale business employ such tactics  as a matter of fact.

Back to subject proper..I hope I can launch the product online by estimated 27th Jan 2011 if not earlier. Lets hope my cold will not affect my progress of completing the book.

The book which I’m writing will help people to cut down on their shopping budget and learn tricks to intelligent shopping trip with proper use of money by making the right choices.

This book will go a long way in helping everybody in saving money in the long run as i specifically wrote this book in a way that is applicable to assist in the sales decision of any and every product being sold without advertising for any product (for obvious reasons since they didn’t pay advertising fees). Plus with this book, it can help you to cut down of time spend on shopping trips in future if you know the tricks to it.

Hope this book can launch on time.

Developed

posted by ryan

Developed is the status given to countries with high gross domestic product GPD per capita which refers to nations with high development according to some criteria.

A developed country has other means of measurement industrialization has a part contributing the economy boosting the financial status and capability of individual countries. The other measure associated with developed nation will be the human development index which combines the economic, nation, life expectancy and other measures factored in.

Being a developed country has got its pros and cons. Pros is more beneficial towards the nation, politicians, businesses and government, and  cons is more towards the poor, majority of employees who cannot benefit in any way regardless of the country being under developed, developing or developed nation.

Poor is not a good thing, and it certainly isn’t good to be poor in a developing if not developed nation. In such a developed country, there will be intense competition for business and profits. The most inflated assets becomes overpriced will be a home.

Home is the shelter which everybody needs and thus either you are rich or poor, you cannot avoid not buying it. The only difference is that the rich can afford with the inflated pricing but not the poor.

The more competition the country has, the higher the inflation is. Just look at Hong Kong, Russia, ask them how small is their home is, sixty to seventy meters are the size which average income earners can afford to buy.

Singapore is heading towards a near developed national but we are still holding onto the developing nation status. Just look at the way the homes are built in the past versus currently and the trend of the homes versus the price.

There is not doubt, homes are highly inflated, while they remains the same price, the square meters are dropping by at least thirty percent and more. Just couple of years back, the norm of purchasing a home, the standard size should be at least a thousand square meters, but over the past two to three years, kitchens, living room, rooms, and even washroom get downsized, but the price still remains the same giving a false impression that there is not any inflation.

All these are just decoys, sales gimmicks which all businesses employ to trick those gullible people.

There was a news article which I read some time back which made me laughed. That article was about a block of apartments of six to seven hundred square meters of size being sold at a much higher price tag for the same amount with a home for at least a thousand square meters of size in the same area. The irony is those small homes get snap up much faster than homes which a bigger size despite it being more expensive!!

An example will be in the past comparison of an old three room apartment built in the 1980s versus the ones which has the same size of a current four room apartment built in the after the millennium. Just look at the newly built versus the older generation apartments, compare the windows, put your thumb against the windows from your vehicle or when you happen to pass by in public transport.

Older apartment’s windows can cover around the size of our thumb while the newer generation of apartments, their windows are smaller than our thumb, to me, newly built apartments are like pigeon holes for birds to live, not us, but funny thing is, we have no choice but to move in since there isn’t any other choice left, neither was I in control of wanting to move or not.

When I read that article, I was wondering if adults are smart or are the developers smarter but since I’m already as of a adult age, I know I am definitely not going to be among those intelligent adults buying a expensive apartment with lesser space just because of the sales hyped up buzz of thanks to the media which created a sales frenzy.

If you understand what I mean, spread news of this blog post to your beloved family and friends, help them save money and prevent those developers from ripping our money off our wallets just because they don’t know that they are suffering a loss on each purchase of flat yet they are smiling and thank you the property agents who are in fact making their clients poorer.

I don’t know how smart we ourselves are, but if you want to help yourself, your friends and family save money, than tell them about the trend of property size are descending while price is ascending thus price inflation on all apartments.

Spread the word to save money. Don’t rush into buying homes if they are just building smaller homes and jetting up the prices. Practice delay-gratification, it will help you save hell lots of money. Trust me on this.

There was once when a blocks of flats in a are of Singapore that was not popular in the launch couple of years back, with only less than ten occupants which made that area looked like a ghost town, which made developers to relook at their layout, design before new apartments were built soon after with numerous other strategies to push for the sales of the unsold apartments which was featured in the newspapers.

The moral of the story and lesson learnt, do not rush into buying homes, if you don’t like it, don’t buy it that will force developers to rethink and relook at their product (apartments) which they are selling.
